Glenelg Country School’s Summer in the Country has been offering quality summer programs for over 30 years. Situated on an idyllic 87-acre wooded campus, our summer programs provide children entering Pre-Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade with a fun and educational experience in a relaxed and safe environment. Our camps offer a variety of activities and make use of the outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, playing fields, shaded pathways, air conditioned classrooms, computer labs, athletic center and pond for scientific study. Our “traditional” day camps offer days filled with arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor activities, weekly themes, running, playing and swimming fun. A Counselor in Training program is available for our high school aged campers. Specialty Camps include offerings in academic enrichment in the core subjects of language arts, science, and math, or an emphasis in the visual arts, foreign languages, culinary arts, technology, music, or drama. Adventure Camps provide campers with options for both exciting day and overnight trips. Sport camps and clinics deliver opportunities to work on learning and refining athletic skills, techniques, strategies, game experience, and sportsmanship, while having fun at the same time. Extended day programs, bus service, swim lessons, and pool memberships are also available.
