Camp Aranzazu’s mission is to enrich the lives of children and adults with special needs and chronic illnesses by providing unique camping, environmental education, and retreat experiences. Located on 104 acres on Copano Bay in Rockport, Texas, Camp Aranzazu is one of only a handful of camps that is completely barrier-free. In fact, it is the only accredited facility of its type in the South Texas region. Founded in 2002, we have served more than 24,500 campers and their support staff since opening our doors in 2006. As a host facility, we provide meals and lodging; customize each camping experience to meet our partners’ goals and objectives; and facilitate all activities under the guidance of three Certified Recreational Therapy Specialists. Our camping partners bring the campers, as well medical and other support staff as needed.
