Texas Elks Camp - Having A Difference, Doesn't Make A Difference

The Texas Elks camp program provides Special needs children (meeting eligibility criteria) with the opportunity to attend a one week session of camp each summer for up to 3 years or to the age of 15 ( which ever comes first) at no cost. Each week begins on Sunday afternoon and ends on Friday evening. During the week of camp, children partake in activities such as swimming, archery, nature walks, fishing, trips to SplashWay and SeaWorld, arts, crafts, dances, talent shows and more. Texas Elks Camp provides special needs and foster children an opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. Campers are encouraged to make their own decisions, become more independent and accept new challenges. Any child with special needs or in foster care age 7 to 15, who is a resident of the state of Texas is eligible for admission to the Texas Elks Camp. No child is denied acceptance on the basis of his or her income level, ethnic origin, race, creed, color or religion. There is no fee. Campers are accepted on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
