Menominee for Boys - Camp Menominee
Our regular activity program (The Big 10), is the
foundation of everything that we do. Activities offered
during the “Big 10” include: Baseball, Golf, Tennis,
Basketball, Roller-Blade Hockey, Volleyball, Softball,
Soccer, Football, Track, Ultimate Frisbee, Lacrosse,
Archery, Riflery, Climbing. Menominee also offers
a full range of water activities including: Red Cross
Swimming, Water-Skiing, Wakeboarding, Tubing,
Windsurfing, Sailing, Canoeing, Kayaking and
Canoeing.
You may also choose from Arts & Crafts,
Woodworking, Rocketry, Photography and Camp
Newspaper. YOU get to choose all of your activities,
which rotate throughout the week. It is highly
structured and professionally run and named after
“Big 10” teams.
Coaches and instructors follow a carefully planned
program and check attendance rosters of those who
have chosen their activities.
Balancing the structure of “Big 10” activities are
twice daily “General” free times-allowing you to get
more of what you are scheduled for, try something
new, or just kick back and chill out in the beautiful
North Woods.
The Leagues are a time when every camper may
choose to participate on sports teams and other
activities for fun. The boys who choose to participate
in these leagues are placed on teams by counselors.
Standing are kept and trophies are given out at the
end of each session. Trophies are not only for the
winning teams, but the “Most Improved”, “Best
Sport”, and “Best Teammate”.
There are also special camp days, inter-camp
events, optional trips and socials. All of these
activities fill out a well rounded day.
