Topics to be covered in this course include DNA/RNA chemistry, gene cloning, genetic engineering, manipulations of bacteria, bacterial transformations, isolation of plasmid and recombinant DNA, restriction analysis of DNA, agarose gel electrophoresis, hybridization, DNA sequencing and DNA fingerprinting.
