CU Summer Scholars - Microbiology

This course investigates prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms of infectious diseases and their methods of interactions with humans using a clinical approach. Topics will include prokaryotic and eukaryotic growth, metabolism, genetics, diagnostic and identification tools, and control methods of these organisms. Interactions between the infectious organisms and the human host will be investigated. We will also take a tour of the Clemson University Light Microscopy Facility and the Electron Microscope Facility.
