CU Summer Scholars - Human Oncology and Pathogenesis

Students will be taught how to grow cancer cells and how to split cells when flasks are too full. They will learn how to determine cell counts and how to differentiate live from dead cells. Students will learn about the appearance and food requirements of various cell lines. Plant extracts will be tested on cancer cells and their effects will be discussed. Students will become proficient in cancer research, covering both the theory and the latest research technology.
