This course explores various methods of hand building with clay. We use coil building, slab building, and sculptural techniques to create pottery with attention to the essentials of form and design. Students learn various glazing techniques while they explore a wide range of styles, from primitive pots to pop art. Discover the excitement of working with clay and study pottery's important role as one of the earliest and most enduring art forms. Students' work will be featured in a gallery show on the final Friday of class. Taught by PDS teacher, Jennifer Gallagher
