Camp America Day Camp - Junior Camp

Every bunk is divided into groups of sixteen boys or girls under the supervision of a senior and junior counselor of the same gender. Recognizing the growing and independence junior campers want and need, our program at the level includes opportunities to learn and practice problem solving, sportsmanship and decision-making. Participating in a league gives junior campers an initial experience working and playing with children of various ages and abilities. Learning to work with a different counselor in a coaching position advances their skills and enjoyment. Junior Camp is a great time for learning to deal with a developing independence and the skills needed for increasing self-reliance.
