Deer Crossing Wilderness Camp - Leader-in-Training Program

Rigorous four-week leadership program for teens ages 15-17. LIT candidates study such topics as learning styles, memory skills, creative problem-solving, goal-setting, attitude awareness and management, wilderness survival, orienteering, wilderness first aid, lifeguarding, and CPR. LITs serve as role models for other campers, assist instructors in program activities, and lead (with supervision) some camp activities. Our LITs have praised the program as "the best experience I ever had", "dynamic", and "hands-on." Teens must apply to participate in this small group experience. Limited spaces.
