Hale Day Camp - Outdoor Adventures

Outdoor Adventures consists of two programs, I & II. Each program will focus on learning specific outdoor skills such as camping and backpacking, canoeing and kayaking, ropes and rock climbing, while also enjoying regular camp activities. The goal is for campers to learn and develop the skills necessary to enjoy an active, out-of-doors lifestyle. OA - I (Intro): entering grades 4, 5, 6 Each session campers will participate in an overnight as well as a two day backpacking overnight trip on Hale Reservation property. OA - II (Advanced): entering grades 6, 7, 8 – Sessions 1 & 3 / grades 4, 5, 6 – Sessions 2 & 4 In addition to the above description, O.A. II will enjoy “Off Campus” overnight trips. Sessions One & Three will go on a four day, three nights Base Camping trip in southern New Hampshire & includes, day hikes, kayaking and swimming at the lake. Sessions Two & Four will up the ante and head further north into the White Mountains for a four day, three night backpacking trip starting & returning at the Wild River Campground.
