Green River Preserve (GRP) is a non-competitive, co-ed summer camp connecting children with nature. Located in the mountains of North Carolina, GRP offers 1,2, and 3 week sessions for rising 2nd - 9th graders. Rising 9th - college freshmen participate in expedition leadership adventure or service trips. GRP's unique program is a safe and comfortable place, both physically and emotionally. A wide variety of activities such as hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, fly fishing, music, guitar, visual arts, crafts, pottery, outdoor skills, woodworking, archery, and BB skeet foster life time learning skills. Staff are personally interviewed by the camp directors and carefully selected with regard to maturity, sensitivity, intellectual achievement, and integrity as role models. Green River Preserve is a GREEN AMERICA approved business. GRP inspires campers to have a greater understanding of themselves, their environment, and their fellow man.
