St. Michael’s Summer Camp is a day and night resident camp for boys, ages 7-14. It has been in operation since 1962 and is accredited by the American Camping Association. Sessions are one week long, from Monday morning to Saturday afternoon, extending from early July to early August. Upon their arrival on Monday morning, the campers are divided into councils of 6-8 boys per counselor. The campers are always supervised. Even at night, four staff members are present in every large tent. Sleeping arrangements consist of three large military tents, each sleeping 4 councils. Operated and staffed by the priests and seminarians of St. Michael’s Abbey, St. Michael’s Summer Camp offers many chances for the boys to learn more about their faith and grow closer to God. In particular, this includes: daily mass, rosary, catechism, and opportunities for confession. As well as many recreational activities: dodgeball, frisbee, soccer, and many more!
