One of Camp Cory’s longest running traditions is our Sailing Program. Campers live in Maijgren Village and spend their mornings learning all the fundamentals of sailing. Land classes, water drills, and competitive races give campers a well rounded sailing experience. During the afternoon, sailing campers have the choice of recreational sail or to participate in any number of Camp Cory’s traditional camp activities. All abilities are welcome, from the novice to the advanced racer. Campers looking to gain additional sailing instruction and knowledge are encouraged to register for a Sailing Camp two week block. Campers in this program will receive in depth progression instruction and spend Saturday afternoon sailing to The Pines for an exciting Maijgren Village cook-out. Camp Cory’s sailboat fleet (including JY15s, J24s and American 15 & 18s) and its teachers are competitive with those at yacht clubs and collegiate settings.
