Camp River Ranch - Classic Camp Plus ONE Horse Experience 2nd-3rd grade

Visit Horse Country one day during your time at camp. You will get one hour of riding and one hour of ground lessons to learn more about horses. You will also have plenty of time for your favorite Classic Camp activities. 2nd and 3rd grade riders will do a staff led pony ride on one of our horse trails. With Classic Camp, girls decide what activities to do. Each camp session begins with girls planning their camp schedule together, based on the interests of the girls and the week’s theme. Camp staff help their campers plan a balanced and well-rounded session. While every camper will not participate in every activity, each classic camp unit will choose several age-appropriate activities: Swimming, nature exploration, leadership development, row boating, outdoor skills, arts, theater, songs, games, hiking, berry picking at the local berry farm, campfires and cookouts are just a few of the activity possibilities. For campers entering grades 4-8 you will also have the possibility of participating in kayaking, canoeing, archery, rock climbing and/or our low ropes challenge course and so much more! In addition to all the exciting program areas there are to experience, campers sleep out under the stars, enjoy campfires, flag ceremonies and community living. Campers participate in these activities while living as an integral part of the camp community sharing challenges, accomplishments, responsibilities, fun and memories with a small group of her peers and positive adult role models. Each week has a theme that is reflected in the programming, camp-wide activities and theme meals.
