For kids entering 6th-8th grade, the Howell Conference & Nature Center operates Day Camp Extreme, also known as DCX! Each themed week is filled with fun for every middle schooler. Themes include Leadership Week, Junior Zookeeper Week, Survivor Week, H2O Extreme Week and Vertical Adventures Week. Every activity at DCX places an emphasis on fun, recreation, environmental education, and traditional camp activities – archery, canoeing, swimming, fishing, crafts, scavenger hunts, zip line rides, and more. Field trips to off-site locations, such as water parks and area zoos, are held weekly.
