Jamestown 4-H Center - 4-H Junior Summer Camp

Junior 4-H Camp is a residential 4-H week long summer camping experience for boys and girls ages 9-13 (and for teens who are selected as counselors). 4-H camping is cooperative group living in a natural environment, which focuses on the individual's social, spiritual, mental, and physical development. The purpose of 4-H camping is to develop life skills using fun, educational programs and activities. This learning takes place through a wide range of camp activities and programs, all of which are designed to allow youth to "learn by doing" through hands-on participation. Days are filled with instructional-based camp classes, unstructured recreation and swim time, flag ceremonies, evening programs, and campfire programs. Registration for 4-H camp is completed through your local Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) ofifce. Contact your local 4-H Extension Agent or the 4-H Center for more information.
