Marimeta For Girls - Overnight Camp

Camp Marimeta for Girls is situated just outside of Eagle River, Wisconsin The camp is situated on Meta Lake. It is a beautiful setting, with plenty of wildlife around for everyone to enjoy. There are 13 cabins set in a semi-circle around the main field. Other buildings include a Health Center, a main office building or ‘Lodge,’ a rec hall, a mess hall, and a shower facility. All of the cabins have at least 2 sinks in them, a toilet area, hot and cold running water, heat, and electricity. We have gorgeous land facilities that include lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball courts, an archery range, and golfing cages. On the waterfront we have ski boats, Hobie cats, sunfish, canoes, kayaks, windsurf boards, a pontoon boat, and a swimming area complete with a diving board, raft, and slide. The kids range in age from 8 - 15. A lot of the campers come from the Chicago area. However, there are campers from all over the United States as well as from far away as Mexico. The campers choose to come for either 4 or 8 weeks. The majority, choose to attend camp for 8 weeks. Marimeta has the finest food in camping! There are 3 meals a day provided, with a salad bar made fresh for every dinner. There is fresh fruit available whenever you get a little hungry during the day The staff comes from all over the world. The average age of our staff is 20. When you arrive at camp, you will soon realize that it is not the buildings that make camp, nor the equipment. It is a combination of the campers, counselors, administrators, and directors that make camp so special and really set it apart from a lot of other camps! You will go home a better person because of it and will have had an experience of a lifetime!
