Ocean Institute - Sea Tech Camp
This camp investigates the technology used by ocean scientists in their research. Activities each day will focus on the principles of constructing a Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV). Campers will work as a team to assemble, wire the controls, and design the tools for their ROV mission. While aboard the R/V Sea Explorer, campers will use research equipment to gather information on water chemistry and the sea floor to understand our ocean environment. On the last day, campers will test their skills piloting their ROVs in underwater challenges from the floating platform of the Maddie James Seaside Learning Center.
