Camp Anokijig - Circle A Riders Camp Specialty
Specialty Programs combine all the activities of Resident Camp with a focus on one particular activity for part of the day. Many programs, like horses or fishing, are available in both Resident Camp and Specialty Programs, with the difference being the level of focus. This is the best of both worlds...Resident Camp activities, plus a Specialty of your choice. All Specialty Programs have limited enrollment, so register early!
All campers in Resident Camp may choose to participate in horse-related activities on a daily basis. But, if you want to spend more time down at the corral, you can sign up in advance for our horse-related specialty program: Circle A Riders. Available to campers entering 4th - 6th grade.
During Circle A Riders camp, participants spend a portion of their day learning horse-care and riding techniques on our working ranch. Each is given his or her own horse to ride and care for under the close supervision of our staff. Lessons, ring work, trail rides, games, and special events will fill your week. Of course, we also leave ample time to enjoy the many other activities at Anokijig. These programs have limited space, so register early. Helmets required and provided.
