Camp Lochearn for Girls - Lochearn Camp for Girls

As one of the oldest continually operating camps for girls in America, Lochearn has a strong sense of history and tradition. The grounds and facilities are first-rate, maintained year-round by our maintenance staff. We offer over 45 well instructed activities supported by teaching specialists and professionally designed lesson plans. Each girl selects her own activities and receives an individually designed schedule based on her interests. As a community we are committed to creating a culture of goodness, where kindness, inclusion and respect are the prevailing norms. Our central goal, in addition to offering a summer of fun, friendship and adventure, is to help girls strengthen their emerging identities by growing in competence in their activities and by enjoying a strong family life among their cabin mates and counselors where they learn how to be a good friend and how to select friends who will serve them well now and in the future. Lochearn is a traditional camp with wholesome values and a sound program of positive character development that gently flows throughout cabin, activity and community life. The girls have more fun because they learn to put forth their best selves without ridicule or concerned about fitting in. The nature of Lochearn is to embrace every girl and to value her goodness. Lochearn is a community where it is “Cool to be Kind!”
