Come see all the Great North Woods has to offer an angler and hone your fishing skills . Camp staff will join forces with NH Fish and Game Department volunteer instructors to help campers learn the finer skills of fly fishing and spin fishing for a wide range of New Hampshire fish species. Campers will be split into two groups based on age and angling experience and will participate in many great angling adventures. Last year’s fun included fly fishing with flies that campers tied that morning, canoe fishing trips on the wild Androscoggin River, tenting on the shores of a wild trout pond, exploring Pontook Reservoir by pontoon boat and wade fishing in the tailrace below the dam. This week is guaranteed to teach every angler many new skills and provide many memorable angling experiences. Last year, a 40-inch Northern Pike was caught during this week. What will the waters reveal in 2013? The theme of the week is fishing, but there is a core of traditional and fun activities that will always be a part of every camper’s experience.
