YMCA Camp Orkila - Traditional Camp
Located on the northwest tip of Orcas Island in Washington State, YMCA Camp Orkila has been welcoming kids and teens since 1906. With 280 acres of private beach, pristine forest and open fields, there's plenty of space for an incredible array of programs that combine age-appropriate activities with the values of respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. The daily rhythm of camp offers plenty of room for choice and creativity, so that campers can follow their interests and strive for their personal best. At the same time, kids grow and thrive as cabin groups and as a camp community. Overnight campers explore nature, learn new skills, make new friends and gain respect for the environment. Surrounding islands offer challenging goals for overnight camp-outs.
