Camp DaKaNi - Summer Day Camp
Camp DaKaNi is owned and operated by Camp Fire Heart of Oklahoma, Inc. It is located on 33 wooded acres in the heart of Oklahoma City. Camp Fire camping gives young people a chance to learn how to live and share with others and to become closely involved with the natural environment.
Camp DaKaNi welcomes youth 5 to 13 years old to attend camp as campers. At camp, Campers are pre-assigned to small groups of youth of similar ages. For example, 1st and 2nd grade girls or 4th grade boys and girls. Groups are led by a Camp Counselor and participate in scheduled and group planned activities. Groups mark off “Home-in-the-woods” or small campsites that serve as their home base for the week. A healthy and well balanced lunch is provided everyday for campers by Camp DaKaNi. Monday and Wednesday are sack lunch days and Tuesdays and Thursdays are cookout days. A hot dog lunch is provided for each camper and family on Friday during the morning open house.
