9-noon What is it about a book that makes you never want to put it down? That's just what we're going to find out! How does an author craft a gripping story? What makes the characters come to life? We'll explore all of those things that we like or dislike in writing, sampling many different authors, styles, and genres to learn how to express ourselves effectively through writing. Reading the novel The Schwa Was Here by Neal Shusterman as well as excerpts from other works will go hand in hand with our experiments in using various writing techniques to produce our own work.
