Red Pine Camp - Traditional Summer Girls Camp offering both water and land activities and sports for girls ages 7-16

We are a traditional camp offering both water and land activities and sports for girls ages 7-16 with many of the girls than following in their counselors footsteps by becoming counselors during their college years. Red Pine places emphasis on the individual and a ratio of at least one counselor to every 4 campers makes possible the small groups and close camper-counselor relationship that keeps this goal in focus. At Red Pine you do not ride in a sailboat you are taught to sail it yourself and so it is with all of our activities. Your daughter will grow in skills and confidence throughout a fun filled summer. We pride ourselves on professional staff, safety, quality food, excellent maintenance and a warm, happy and most importantly fun atmosphere. Our staff is trained and certified in the various activities that they teach and are trained to handle the physical, social, emotional and intellectual characteristics of the various age groups, with some of them pursuing careers in teaching. We also meet with or talk to the parents and listen to their concerns and discuss ways to help their child have a successful camp experience. That’s the camp director speaking of course! If you ask our younger campers, they’ll tell you what makes Red Pine special is simple: it’s all about friends and fun. Our older girls will tell you it’s also about feeling free from the pressures they experience at school, and getting away from modern technology to spend time in a simpler, more natural world. Indeed, I think every Red Pine camper would say there is no place remotely like camp in the world she inhabits back home. We also have an excellent riding program (English – Hunt Seat only). Our Riding Director has 18 years experience as a Director of Riding for summer camps and has developed and taught Training Seminars and Certification programs for camp riding instructors. Beth has trained for Dressage and jumping and participated in competitive Dressage in the Midwest and East Coast for 12 years. She also has over 30 years of experience giving private Dressage Instruction.
