Sesame/Rockwood Camps - Counselor-In-Training

Our Counselor-In-Training program offers teens, entering 8th and 9th grades, the opportunity to be campers for part of the day and do activities with their peers, to attend training sessions on the responsibilities needed to be a good counselor, to spend part of each day assisting the counselors with a bunk of campers and taking trips to fun locations as well as performing community service in the local area. Teens may choose to be a CIT for 4 to 8 weeks or combine the CIT program with 1 - 5 weeks on Rockwood Adventures Teen Travel. There are combo tuitions available if campers attend both the CIT program and teen travel. Contact camp for that pricing.

They're finding new friends in the most FUN places...at the summer day camp that grows with your children...Sesame Day Camp, for ages 3 through 7, and Camp Rockwood, for ages 8 through 14, is located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania in the suburbs northwest of Philadelphia! The fun and learning never stop for 39 days each summer on our beautiful 22 acre campus. Activities in Swim, Sports, Arts and the Outdoors challenge all ages and keep them coming back year after year. Our Sports program offers progression in skill development and age appropriate activities and facilities for each age group. We stress sportsmanship, team spirit, participation and skill development in all of our athletic activities. An appreciation of the natural environment is achieved through our Nature program and team building skills continue as our campers progress through our Adventure/Ropes Course activities from the indoor rock wall to the towers of the high traverse, climbing walls and ziplines. Our Creative and Performing Arts introduce campers to all sorts of new experiences n cooking, arts and crafts, robotics, jewelcraft, ceramics and more! Our Aquatic program is so important and a favorite of all campers...from Instructional Swim in the morning, Fun Swim in the afternoon, a variety of aquatic options during clubs and electives, boating and fishing. And what would camp be without Special Events....theme days, color days, game show, division events, all-camp line-ups, extended evening activities and more fill all of our days with fun and spirit! Our caring, quality staff make the experience the best it can be for the campers. Our Leadership Team of Directors meets year-round to assure that the program and staff are of the highest quality. Our staff attend Staff Development sessions in May and June, participate in on-line training and continue their learning throughout the summer to be sure that they are prepared and competent to work with the campers. Personal tours are available for families with the owners during the week or on weekends at your convenience.
