Camp Alkulana is a residential summer camp for low-income and at-risk children and youth from the Richmond, Virginia area.
Camp Activities include:
• Swimming & Canoeing
• Hiking & Cave Exploring
• Rappelling & Rock Climbing
• Low Ropes Course
• Bible Study & Worship
• Evening Campfires
Camp Fees are determined based on the family income. Participation in USDA free or reduced lunch makes campers eligible for a lower camp fee. Please contact the camp director for specific details about the cost for attending camp.
Transportation is provided to and from camp on an air-conditioned bus. The bus will depart on the first day of the session at 9:00 am and return on the last day of the session between 12:30 and 1:00 pm. Departure and arrival will be at the Richmond Baptist Association: 3111 Moss Side Ave. Richmond, VA 23222.
After the summer that a camper is 14 years old, he or she may be invited to return as a Counselor in Training (CIT). This decision is based on the camper’s achievement and leadership abilities. CIT’s will return the following summer during the younger session of their gender.
