What if the church provided opportunities for rising 11th and 12th graders to recognize and develop their gifts and embrace their abilities as leaders? What if we didnʼt just talk about how to be a Christian leader, but we practiced it? During the first part of this multi‐week program, ELP participants examine their own gifts and graces, learn about personalities and group dynamics, practice the skills of facilitating groups in games, Bible study and debriefing. During the second part, participants put their understandings to the test while serving as Day Camp Counselors at a North Georgia local church. ELP pairs leadership training with the opportunity to lead, transforming the lives of senior high students and Day Campers in the process.
