GDS offers 3 separate summer service programs for high school students: Service and Theater, combined! Playwrights, theater technicians, and actors collaborate around a shared service-experience to produce high quality theater! Check out our IMPACT Summer Theater Experience program for one summer theater experience that will really make an impact on you and the community! Summer Service Work Camp Serve in DC! Join GDS, the William Penn House, and the Washington Quaker Work Camps for a week of service in the community. Spend mornings working in small groups with individual community members and afternoons in group service. Reflect as a community at the end of each day. GDS students will be eligible for up to 40 service hours. Enhance your leadership qualities as you work and learn alongside teachers. Deepen your understanding of issues and the resulting inequities facing our local community as you research, prepare for, and do service. In the process you are sure to gain insights into yourself and the world in which you live. GDS students will be eligible for 25 community service hours.
