The Traditional Program at Chimney Corners Camp YMCA is a 4-week overnight summer camp for girls in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, designed to build confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships through a balanced, community-centered experience. Campers live in small, supportive cabin groups of 8 with 2 trained counselors, creating a strong sense of belonging and connection. Mornings are spent with their cabin group participating in a variety of activities together, while afternoons are personalized—each camper chooses six activities to focus on throughout the session, allowing for skill development and deeper engagement. Activity options include waterfront (swimming, sailing, kayaking), performing and visual arts, horseback riding, outdoor adventure, farm and garden, woodworking and construction, team sports, and more. Evenings and weekends bring the full camp community together for campfires, overnight campouts, special events, and group games, creating the traditions and shared experiences that make camp unforgettable.
