Youth Camp Sessions are each five to eight days in length and occur throughout the summer. Several of the sessions serve youth ages 8-13 while one is designated as Junior High week and serves ages 12-13. All sessions are staffed by an intentionally diverse, Christian staff that is carefully selected and trained during a 10-day orientation. All staff must pass two background checks and a central registry clearance as required through the State of Michigan.
At youth camp campers stay in cabins with one counselor to every eight campers. The staff to camper ratio is around four to one. Campers enjoy activities such as swimming, archery, arts and crafts, an overnight campout in a tent, canoeing, cookouts, drama, dance, fishing, exploring, choir, Bible study, and outdoor sports. Campers each choose two activities to take as a class throughout the session and additional activities are experienced during cabin activity time nearly every day. Older cabins also have opportunities to try special activities like kayaking and a challenge course.
