Camp Gorham's CIT program allows teens to develop leadership skills, make lifelong friends and experience camp through the eyes of a counselor. Not only will participants be well suited to a future with camping, with the strong elements of self-initiative, group work, high levels of responsibility and time management, they will be able to translate the skills into many other realms. Revamped for 2012, our program begins withone week of training and team building, for the next two weeks the CITs move into cabins with younger campers leading activities and assisting the main counselors. For the final week, CITs move back into their own housing for a week of debrief, evaluation and further training, not to mention the CIT white water rafting trip!
