Senior Camp is Green Acres Camp’s program for children entering fourth through eighth grade in fall 2027, organized into Unit E (4th grade), Unit F (5th grade), and Units G/H/I (6th through 8th grade).
Activities are developmentally appropriate and designed to build on campers’ growing skills and independence. Campers have the opportunity to design their own schedules based on their interests, choosing new programs each week so they can try a wide variety of activities. They are also divided into color teams for the summer, earning points through weekly competitions that lead up to the all-day Green Acres Camp Cup tournament at the end of camp.
Activity offerings span the arts, technology, and the outdoors. Past favorites include Art Now, Clay & Glaze, Dance Jams, Fashion, and Film Stars, as well as Game Wizards (video game design), Techxplorations (robotics and laser engraving), Science and STEM, Growing Green (the on-site greenhouse), and Nature Science (wilderness survival skills). Daily workshops offer a flexible choice of sports, games, art, and free swim. Campers may also sign up for an optional overnight adventure, a two-day, one-night trip for Units E and F, or a three-day, two-night trip for Units G, H, and I. Camp traditions such as the Fourth of July Parade and Fun Run, weekly spirit days, and the staff vaudeville show round out the summer.
