The Navigators program is our core 1:1 program for campers ages 7-13. The Navigators program runs during the two-week Sessions 1 and 2. We call our core campers “Navigators” because, with the help of staff, they choose their activities in several-day bundles, allowing them to discover their interests and “navigate” the world around them.
In Navigators, our goal is to provide campers with an engaging, fun, safe, nurturing program that sets them up for success. Each camper is part of a cabin group of 4-6 campers and at least that many staff members. Cabin groups spend time together each day at meals, rest hour, evening program, and during a nightly cabin meeting just before bed. Our program integrates the Starfish Tools (coping skills) and Keys (social skills) into everything we do, including daily reflection on individual goals.

The Older Camper Program (OCP) offers teens the opportunity to participate in an “aged up” version of the Navigators program, while experiencing greater choice, more privileges, and greater opportunity to be a role-model on camp. OCP runs during the two-week Sessions 1 and 2.
Many of the Navigators program elements very intentionally carry over into OCP. Teens continue to choose their activities from 3-day bundles, have a daily instructional swim lesson (until they reach a basic stroke and water safety proficiency level, at which time they may opt out of lessons or choose to continue expanding their skills), participate in the daily elective, twice-daily Free Plays, cabin cleanup, and daily goals meetings. They continue to earn Tags in program areas and enjoy special activities and all-camp programs.
