Is sarcasm your second language? Do you love the feeling of making people laugh? Answer the call and your comedic self in the immersive experience of Sketch Comedy Camp. Over the week, participants will write, rehearse and perform their own original comedy skits, all culminating in a live show on the last day of camp. Students will learn about the power of collaborative arts, hone their observational and listening skills and acting fundamentals. Students will also watch classic and current comedians to learn about timing and personal style. Notebooks will be available and students are encouraged to bring their computer for writing only. Stephanie S. Lazenby is a theater-maker, with a focus on comedy and original productions. She brings years of professional experience as a writer, performer and producer to her educational work. She is the creator, facilitator and host of Couch to Mic, a comedy performance and writing workshop for adults, featured at 3S Artspace in downtown Portsmouth, NH. Stephanie is a juried Artist-in-Residence through the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts.
