Indiana Wesleyan University - Engineering Camp
What would the world be like without large structures? We would need to take ferries across every river because there would be no bridges. We wouldn’t have stores, school buildings, large office buildings, stadiums, etc. Large structures are everywhere, and civil engineers must ensure that they remain safe and that the materials that make up structures have expected strengths.
In this camp, participants will learn about structures and materials they are made of through engaging hands-on projects. It is anticipated that students will compete to build the strongest model structure or the strongest concrete beam. Students will gain a fresh understanding and appreciation of the structures they use every day. No prior experience is required.
