At Phoebe Needles Center in the beautiful mountains of Callaway, Virginia, we have been offering summer camp programs for over 30 years! We offer Day Camp programs for 1st-4th graders and Residential Camp programs for 5th-12th graders. Our 78 acre facility is a wonderful place for students to learn about nature, community, team spirit, and about themselves. We offer 6-7 weeks of camp programming each summer. Camp offerings vary each week and include things like team building, arts & crafts, music, swimming, nature studies, community service, backpacking, camping, caving, and rock climbing. All of these programs offer real challenges in an environment that is safe. Our camp fee for 2023 was $250 per camper which is 50% less than what it actually costs. This includes: activities, meals, program supplies, and activity fees. We rely on contributions from individuals, churches, businesses, civic organizations, and grants to cover the rest of the actual camp costs. Additionally, we offer scholarships to make sure all who apply can attend our camps regardless of financial need. Roughly 40% of our campers receive scholarships each summer thanks to our donors and supporters!
