Here at CCK we work to improve the quality of life for seriously ill children and provide them with life learning experiences and new skill sets that they can use in their daily lives after camp. Enable them to experience what a real camp is like in a setting that is physically safe and medically sound. They will be able to experience “normalcy”, learn self-care skills, develop independence and confidence, make friends, learn team-work, participate in experiential education, and enhance their self-esteem. It will be a time of fun, recreation, and respite where friendships are formed and skills are learned that will change them forever.
