Camp Kidwell - Day Camp

Junior Day Camp Junior Day Campers(5-7 year olds) have the chance to experience the magic of camp, try new activities, make friends, develop new skills, while still spending their evenings at home. There is no doubt after spending a week with our amazing staff and the other campers they will be begging to become overnight campers, or at least pass out in the back seat of the car on the way home. :) Our junior day campers enjoy each day in their own special group, which goes everywhere and does everything together. Each junior day camper has time with our horses and at the waterfront(weather permitting). They also have the opportunity to create crafts, explore nature, participate in acting games, experience our games cabin as well as enjoy a variety of other activities based on the weekly theme. The theme for junior day camp will be similar to the overnight and senior day camp taking place at the same time, with its own unique twists and adventures. Junior day camp staff to camper ratio is 1:6 with a minimum of 2 staff members. Junior day campers occasionally see and interact with overnight and senior day campers, mostly at gatherings, lunch time or as they navigate throughout camp. At least one staff member in each cabin will be an adult (at least 18 years of age). Cabinmate request are accepted, but we can not guarantee campers will be in the same group with more than one other individual. Senior Day Camp Our senior day camp (7-14 year olds) allows youngsters the chance to enjoy a similar camp experience to our overnight campers, but still have a chance to play sports or spend time with family and friend in the evening. Senior day campers form a group who navigate each day together. They do activities together, eat meals together and create bonds that last forever. Camp Kidwell offers Senior Day Camp (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, expect Friday pick is at 2pm), sessions for children ages 7-14. These sessions allow campers the opportunity to enjoy traditional camp activities like swimming, canoeing, drama, crafts, sports and games, ropes. archery, nature exploration, friendship building and much more. Campers will be part of a group of up to 10 children and at least two staff members. These cabin groups will enjoy meals, downtime as well as all of the fun and exciting activities camp has to offer together as a group. Cabin group will have the opportunity to try most of our activities at least once throughout the week and some more than once. Before Care Available We are offering a special before care program this year for families who need to drop their kiddos off a little earlier than the scheduled start time. We are excited to offer all day campers the opportunity to come at 7:30 for an additional $10/day. If camper attends "Before Care" they will have breakfast with us as well. See below for details.
