Counselors in Training (Ages 15-17)

The CIT program is an internship (unpaid) for the summer season. Being at camp is one of the most life-impacting internships in the world. CITs will gain skills in communication, solving complex problems, and confidence and say they became the best version of themselves through working at camp. CITS will create friendships with their co-interns and the staff team, and prepare for a successful transition to staff and instructors someday.

Candidates must apply, be interviewed and attend training (online & in-person) after which they are approved to sign up for week-long internship sessions. CIT are scheduled per session and expected to work at least 2 sessions in the season.

Offered every week at all Camp Twigs locations. A $200 one-time donation is appreciated to cover online and in-person training sessions in late May. Training will cover counselors skills & expectations, child development, safety, plus exploring in nature, crafts, games, and making friends.
