Flying Horse Farms (FHF) understands that when a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, the impact reaches ever member of the family. That's why Family Camps are specifically designed to bring entertainment, connection, and respite to each member of the family. Programming is relaxed, designed for families to take the weekend at their own pace, and have a volunteer Family Sidekick who joins them to help provide oversight for kids so adults can break away for caregiver programming, naps, and chats by the fireside if they choose. Families can bring up to 10 people, however they define a family member.
Family Camps are held in the spring and fall and include campers within every diagnosis group served in the summer. Campers can join Family Camps at age 7 to get prepared for a week-long summer residential camp experience when they turn 8 years old. Let's camp!
