Camp J is Tucson’s most trusted camping programs. Our summer and winter camps are full of fun activities that promote creativity, initiative, and leadership. Day camp at the J is much more than childcare–it’s a place for having experiences that last a lifetime. We are in the business of creating lifelong friendships, turning camp memories into lifelong stories, and teaching and developing lifelong skills. Our Camp staff are all CPR/First Aid certified and background checked. Additionally, they receive extensive pre-camp training in safety, behavior management, conflict resolution, and group dynamics. Within a camper’s day they will experience group activities in our full-sized gym, tennis courts, outdoor fields, computer lab, art studio, swim activities at the pool, water play at our Splash Pad, as well as specialized activities such as Archery, Cooking, STEM, and Discovery (our experiential learning program). At Camp, we believe in the value diversity brings to our camper’s experiences. Through intentional staff training, we ensure our team has the knowledge and skills to foster diverse perspectives at Camp in a respectful way, while honoring the unique experiences each camper brings to our inclusive environment. Through intentional programming, we ensure that all campers have the opportunity to engage in activities that foster their social growth around diversity and inclusion.
