Wilderness Intensive Leadership Development (WILD) is a two-week program grounded in learning leadership and teamwork fundamentals in the context of a 10-day wilderness excursion throughout the Adirondack Park. Teams of 6 campers and 2 experienced guides will spend two days on camp, planning and preparing for wilderness camping, hiking, canoeing and rock climbing. Participants will be able to asses risk, manage team and personal dynamics, and learn hard skills such as orienteering, camp craft, and Leave No Trace principles. Open to rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. May be combined with traditional sessions at Pok-O-MacCready.
