Nature Camps, Inc. - Teen Adventure Program

The Teen Adventure (TA) program is an innovative, physically challenging experience for 13-16 year-olds. The TA program focuses on adventure education, service learning, affirming individual strengths, teaching compassion, and fostering environmental stewardship. Teens participate in educational and service projects, both on site at Nature Camps and on multi-day overnight trips. Each Teen Adventure session is two weeks total: one week at day camp (8:45am - 3:00pm with Extended Day and Van Service available if needed) and one week on an overnight trip. At day camp, the TAs participate in activities and act as counselors-in-training. They are invited to stay for a TA/Staff overnight. For the overnight trips, Teens may choose from 3 exciting options: hiking and river rafting along the Appalachian Trail, biking along the C&O Canal Towpath, or learning about sustainable agriculture at Spoutwood Farm and CSA in Pennsylvania.
