At Lazy F, we believe that everyone has influence, and when you use your influence intentionally, that’s leadership. The goal of our Leaders in Training (LIT) program is to teach, coach, and grow young adults into life-long leaders. During their time at camp, LITs not only will enjoy many of our camp activities, but also will have classroom time with our Program Director and coordinator team. We will set goals, go over how to give and receive feedback effectively, and focus on some of the critical areas of life-long leadership. At the discretion of the Program Director, LITs will be invited back for a week to put these skills into practice in the context of camp. They will be assigned to a group of younger campers and will work with the group’s counselors to lead campers through the week. We believe that whether LITs have an interest in being on Lazy F staff in the future, or they want to hone their leadership skills for other areas of life, this week of summer is a valuable experience for all.
