Cabrillo Summer Youth Program - Baskin Girls in Engineering
The Cabrillo College Baskin Girls in Engineering summer program is designed for young women entering 6th - 9th grades who want to learn more about the role engineering plays in their lives. Students will engage in hands-on, team-based engineering design projects where they will apply their creativity in designing engineering solutions. This program is aimed at nurturing their natural curiosity, building their confidence, and fostering their interest in engineering as a fun, exciting, and rewarding career. In addition, the young women will experience engineering in action during a guided tour of a local engineering company.
Families are invited to the end-of-program celebration on Friday at 1:00 pm where the girls present what they have learned and experienced in the camp.
These camps fill up quickly so register early!
The Baskin Girls in Engineering program is run by Cabrillo’s Engineering Department.
This program is supported by a grant from the Peggy and Jack Baskin Foundation.
