Guided by a naturalist this camp offers the opportunity to explore, interpret, and create! Little Naturalists will discover the natural phenomena happening right before their eyes as they learn about creative arts using natural materials, conservation biology, and the basics of being a field scientist. Campers will learn to use binoculars, identify local habitats and species, and gain a deeper understanding of the natural world. They will create nature journals, use natural and found objects as their art supplies to create dyes, solar prints, make bird feeders, and turn objects in the wild into art forms. Each hands-on project lets campers combine their newfound science knowledge, arts techniques, and their own imagination. Campers will develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world, and go home with their projects, new skills, and inspiration to create more at home!
