The concept of leadership is changing. It is a journey to create habits for personal success, including collaboration, emotional intelligence, and creativity. This academy is designed to help emerging leaders develop their personal compass, learn how to create their map, and help them identify their destination. Through exercises, games, social and interpersonal group activities, writing, art projects, and a lot of fun, we will dive into ideas about the physical, emotional, mental, and aspirational well being it takes to be a conscious leader. We will discuss the 4 most important characteristics of leaders; Inspiring, Forward Looking, Honest, and Competent. As we learn ways to enact these characteristics, we will focus on these five exemplary practices to achieve personal success: • Model the Way • Inspire a Shared Vision • Challenge the Process • Enable Others to Act • Encourage the Heart Families are invited to join us in the last hour of our final day for a closing ceremony. Each student will receive a certificate of completion and we will share a video about the campers’ experience during the academy. Students will come away with a personal success action plan that they are excited about, and want to see come to fruition. A guide for parents and students will include talking points, prompts for conversations, and activities for use between sessions to deepen and enrich student experience.
