Everyone loves cake! No matter your favorite - pancakes, shortcake, upside down cake, cupcakes, molten lava cake, angel food cake, or bundt cake - you can become the best baker in your brood! Chef Mima literally grew up in a French bakery and she will guide campers through a delicious week of decorating, whipping, folding, and sifting. Campers will learn to understand terms, read baking recipes, how leavening works, why we mix dry ingredients separately, and other cake baking basics. At the end of the week we will compare our cakes—the good, the bad, and the ugly—and discuss outcomes and reasons behind them. Campers will take home a sampling of confections each day.
